Pet Resort: When to Book Your Reservation

When is the best time to book reservations?
How early is to too early?

It may not seem like it, but summer is right around the corner! Here in our Pet Resort, our ‘peak’ months are June-September when everyone is packing up and headed to sandy shores, lakeside retreats or even a family road trip. If you can’t take your furry friend with you to your destination, you’ll likely book a stay with us. So, how early is too early to book for these months? It is NEVER too early, especially for holiday weekends like Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. Some clients even book a year in advance just to make sure their pooch has a perfect room while they’re away. We recommend scheduling your stay with us as soon as you begin your travel plans. If you’re unsure of your exact dates, we recommend reserving the earliest date you would leave until the latest day you would be returning. There is NO CHARGE for altering your dates when your plans have been finalized.

When booking your pet’s stay, you should know that our policy requires proof of vaccinations at the time of reservation. Please make sure you have the following vaccines before making your reservation:

Dogs:

  • Updated Fecal — free of parasites
  • Canine Influenza Vaccine (CIV)
  • Bordetella 6 month (not the annual)
  • Rabies
  • Distemper

Cats:

  • Rabies
  • Updated Fecal — free of parasites (One per household)
  • Feline Distemper
